Tech Lead – Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Formulate user stories, tasks, and timelines necessary for executing assigned projects.

• Steer team development activities towards the successful and timely completion of projects aligned with the team sprint objectives.

• Offer technical guidance to team members through coaching and mentorship.

• Conduct daily stand-ups to ensure all team members are informed about the various tasks being undertaken.

• Promote knowledge sharing of solutions managed by the team among all members.

• Raise concerns with HR and the Head of Software when team members are not meeting established performance standards.

• Uphold high software quality standards within the team by fostering good practices and habits.

• Establish clear benchmarks through the software used to monitor quality, including Sonar Cloud quality gates and code reviews.

• Take full ownership, along with the team, of the solutions under management, including daily monitoring, dashboard creation and maintenance, and the establishment of KPIs and alert thresholds to proactively address production issues.

• Identify and promote avenues for growth and improvement within the team, nurturing an environment conducive to collaboration and team spirit.

• Work closely with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications.

• Develop, refine, and optimize integrations between applications.

• Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements in collaboration with the Business Analyst.

• Analyze and resolve technical and application-related issues.

• Evaluate opportunities for application and process enhancements and document the rationale for sharing with team members and other affected stakeholders.

• Participate in the recruitment process of new team members through interviews and assessments.

• Stay updated with the latest trends in software development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in software development or a related field.

• Proficiency with Test-Driven Development (TDD) is essential.

• Experience in a banking or financial services environment.

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience utilizing C#, .NET, and SQL Server technologies.

• Familiarity with various software development methodologies and approaches.

• Competence in requirements gathering, analysis techniques, and process improvement strategies.

• Experience in people management with the ability to lead and influence others effectively.

• Background in formal personal development planning along with individual, team, and process performance management.

• Proven track record in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects within a structured framework.

• Exceptional personal organization skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Ability to influence and drive projects to reach critical milestones while overcoming challenges.
