Tech Lead – Payments, Cards

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Establishing the technical vision for card and payment solutions in partnership with Product teams and stakeholders

• Crafting and developing systems for card issuance, authorization, and settlement (including credit, debit, and prepaid)

• Taking ownership of real-time transaction processing workflows and ensuring system reliability

• Leading architectural choices in distributed, API-centric environments

• Overseeing and enhancing integrations with card processors, VISA networks, and KYC service providers

• Converting business needs into effective technical solutions

• Serving as a liaison between business and engineering teams, eliminating obstacles and fostering understanding

• Remaining actively involved in Go development and contributing to production systems

• Ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of financial infrastructure

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in fintech, payment systems, or card technologies

• Practical experience with the Go programming language

• Background in distributed systems and API-first design

• Experience with real-time transaction processing or comparable high-reliability systems

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud

• Knowledge of the card lifecycle: authorization, clearing, and settlement

• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to engineering decisions
