Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance and maintain our orchestration engine and git interface, ensuring they uphold high standards for performance, reliability, and security.

• Develop product or internal features (such as reducing dependencies or enhancing our internal telemetry), expand our testing suite, or manage the release of our components.

• Collaborate closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams to create container orchestration solutions that align with company objectives and customer requirements.

• Design backward-compatible solutions to intricate problems while optimizing services for efficient operation and addressing issues when deployments encounter failures.

• Continuously seek ways to enhance automation, testing, and deployment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundation with expertise in Python and Go.

• Comfortable working with low-level systems.

• Proficient in asynchronous programming and concurrency models in Python or comparable languages.

• Deep knowledge of Linux systems and their internals, covering process management, networking, containers, and file systems.

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, OCI images, LXC, etc.).

• Comprehensive understanding of Git protocol, including the workings of repositories.

• Ability to debug complex systems, including analyzing traces and logs.

• Practical problem-solving skills, utilizing effective solutions to address complex challenges efficiently.

• Direct experience with AI coding assistants and LLM APIs, particularly in code review, documentation, and debugging applications.

• Excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging in discussions, accepting feedback, and sharing knowledge with diverse audiences.
