This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Take charge of the planning and staffing for launches in the UK and new regions, as well as special teams. Establish and uphold guardrail metrics.
• Develop a strong understanding of the foundational data, including demand signals, agent rosters (team, title, country), agent activity (delivered hours, status), and license demand.
• Manage demand forecasts for checkouts and app opens in CA, the UK, and new geographical areas.
• Report on the health of forecasts for the UK, CA, and other regions (accuracy and outlook).
• Provide real-time management advice to Customer Operations (UK) regarding agent productivity.
• Curate AI knowledge applicable to Customer Operations (UK) and forecasting for UK Infrastructure.
• Create and manage forecasting models utilizing time series, regression, and machine learning techniques to aid in contact forecasting, headcount and license planning, and budgeting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define planning and forecasting challenges, develop relevant metrics and diagnostics, and facilitate high-quality decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for productivity and efficiency enhancements through budget and financial performance data.
• Present insights and recommendations to leadership, drive timely decision-making, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
• Work alongside operational planning and other analytics teams to grasp the business context for headcount and workforce scheduling, and acquire necessary data for precise forecasts.
• Stay informed about the business dynamics and our evolving technical landscape.
• A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, industrial engineering, operations research) with over 5 years of experience in solving forecasting, planning, or related quantitative challenges.
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python or R, along with hands-on experience with a contemporary cloud-native data platform (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar).
• Practical experience utilizing AI/LLM tools throughout the analytics process: crafting, validating, and refining AI-generated SQL and Python, and incorporating AI outputs into trusted analyses for stakeholders.
• Experience in constructing optimization models using linear programming techniques (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi) is an advantage.
• Robust background in developing and validating statistical forecasting models, employing disciplined methods for performance measurement, backtesting, and meticulous error tracking.
• Demonstrated capability to independently organize ambiguous issues and choose the right analytical method without explicit guidance.
• A clear and persuasive communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities and the capacity to influence senior leaders across both technical and non-technical groups.
• A strong inclination towards automation: viewing repetitive manual tasks as unnecessary drudgery and constructing lasting, automated systems, assigning tasks to machines where they can outperform humans reliably and efficiently.
