Tech Lead, Java – AI Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Offer technical direction to the team, steering architecture, development, and quality decisions.

• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to comprehend, elaborate, and prioritize requirements.

• Convert business needs into technical solutions, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation strategies.

• Outline methodologies for Java applications, microservices, integrations, messaging, and databases.

• Conduct and oversee code reviews to ensure quality, security, and compliance with technical standards.

• Assist the team in tackling complex issues, carrying out impact analysis, and troubleshooting.

• Leverage AI in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, code review, and documentation.

• Offer expertise on utilizing LLMs, RAG, context management, agents, multi-agent systems, and guardrails within the engineering workflow.

• Establish best practices for utilizing AI tools, minimizing dependence on unverified outputs.

• Collaborate with architecture, security, DevOps, and other teams involved in the delivery process.

• Aid in the advancement of the development pipeline, encompassing cards, branches, PRs, tests, validations, and CI/CD.

• Monitor AI-driven enhancements in speed, quality, and reduction of rework.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Spring Batch.

• Expertise in microservices, hexagonal architecture, APIs, and integrations.

• Familiarity with MongoDB, Oracle, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.

• Understanding of automated testing using JUnit and Mockito.

• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, and code review methodologies.

• Capability to design solutions and evaluate technical and architectural impacts.

• Background in providing technical leadership to developers and facilitating discussions with business stakeholders.

• Practical experience in applying AI to software development.

• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and context engineering.

• Acquaintance with RAG, agents, multi-agent systems, and guardrails.

• Experience within a banking environment.
