Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Guide and mentor software engineers within one or more development teams.

• Offer technical direction and coaching to team members.

• Establish and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Propel standards for code quality, maintainability, security, and performance.

• Lead technical design sessions and architectural discussions.

• Collaborate with Product Architects on platform strategies.

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale software solutions.

• Create new features and technical improvements throughout the OnVUE platform.

• Develop scalable and maintainable system designs.

• Engage in complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

• Conduct design reviews, code evaluations, and technical assessments.

• Assist in release planning and deployment activities.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Business Analysts to refine requirements.

• Partner with Quality Engineering to enhance quality and automation.

• Coordinate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams on cloud-native solutions.

• Contribute to roadmap planning and technical estimation.

• Support initiatives for platform modernization and reduction of technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience.

• More than 3 years in technical leadership or as a lead developer.

• Strong background in designing and implementing distributed systems.

• Experience in leading Agile engineering teams.

• Familiarity with cloud-native environments.

• Proven technical leadership with a focus on engineering quality and continuous improvement.

• Exceptional software design and system architecture skills.

• Experience with cloud-based DevOps workflows and CI/CD environments.

• Demonstrated ability to build highly available and scalable enterprise applications.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in mentoring developers and cultivating high-performing engineering teams.

• Preferred familiarity with LLMs and machine learning concepts.

• Preferred experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.

• Preferred experience in application security, observability, and performance engineering.

• Experience supporting accessibility compliance initiatives and WCAG standards is preferred.
