Tech Lead Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architecture across Nexus’s product landscape.

• Develop production code for essential services and intricate integrations.

• Collaborate with multiple teams to establish system boundaries.

• Influence engineering practices to ensure stability and rapid deployment.

• Guide tech leads and nurture the next wave of architects.

• Collaborate with leadership to transform strategy into actionable technical plans.

• Create comprehensive design documentation and simplify complex systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building production software.

• More than 2 years in a leadership role within engineering.

• Extensive, hands-on expertise in Rust, Go, Next.js / TypeScript, and Google Cloud.

• Proven experience in designing high-throughput, low-latency systems.

• A solid history of designing distributed, performance-sensitive systems.

• Strong instincts regarding code quality and testing strategies.

• Ability to influence through clear logic and written documentation.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Located in Latin America and comfortable with asynchronous work.
