Tech Lead Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical leadership for intricate, high-impact projects, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with product and business goals.

• Collaborate with engineers and architects to lead the design of system and component-level architecture.

• Take ownership of the complete technical execution for significant projects from design to delivery, proactively identifying and managing risks and dependencies.

• Convert high-level designs into clearly defined tasks, estimates, and implementation strategies.

• Create, implement, and refine cloud-native architectures utilizing microservices, event-driven systems, API-first design, and contemporary technologies and tools.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards through code reviews, CI/CD, testing, TDD, observability, and DevOps methodologies.

• Prioritize and manage technical debt, driving performance, scalability, and reliability enhancements through data-driven insights.

• Mentor and coach engineers, promoting sound engineering judgment, collaboration, ownership, continuous learning, and skill advancement.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to provide solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Articulate technical trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assist in aligning product priorities with technical execution to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.

• Contribute directly by writing high-quality, production-ready code for critical components and complex problem areas.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues.

• Assess and incorporate modern technologies and tools to enhance system reliability and team efficiency.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 12 years of professional software development experience in building complex, scalable business applications.

• Expert-level proficiency in C# /.NET Core and Angular.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Container Apps, App Services, Event Hub, and API Management.

• Proven expertise in designing and operating distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.

• Significant experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and contemporary DevOps practices.

• Strong database skills with SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB, including performance tuning and scalability.

• Comprehensive knowledge of real-time and event-driven architectures, Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, and OpenTelemetry monitoring.

• Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, and the enforcement of testing best practices for full-stack applications.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Delta Lake for data engineering is a significant advantage.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic, data-driven approach.

• Strong communication and influencing skills, capable of leading through expertise rather than authority.

• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and a demonstrated commitment to engineering excellence and professional development.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% as business needs dictate.

• Sedentary role primarily involving desk/computer work.
