Tech Lead – Data Visualization, BigQuery, Looker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Responsible for providing technical leadership in the Data Visualization discipline, ensuring the creation of scalable, standardized solutions that prioritize business value.

• Serve as a liaison between data, technology, and business sectors, enhancing the quality, consistency, and efficiency of analytical outputs.

• Define and refine standards, best practices, and frameworks including modeling, metrics, dashboards, and governance.

• Act as a technical reference point, guaranteeing quality, scalability, and reusability.

• Organize and maintain semantic layers and standardized metrics.

• Ensure the consistency, reliability, and integrity of information utilized by the business.

• Align business requirements with scalable and sustainable technical solutions.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, business units, and other Tech Leads to prioritize initiatives effectively.

• Minimize operational dependencies through a structured analytical self-service approach.

• Perform technical reviews and elevate the quality of the team’s deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with BigQuery, including modeling, optimization, and cost management.

• Advanced knowledge of Looker, specifically LookML, exploration, and governance.

• Expertise in Data Visualization best practices, storytelling, and user experience (UX).

• Experience in constructing semantic layers and developing reusable metrics.

• Proven track record in defining and implementing technical standards and frameworks.

• Understanding of data governance and maintaining data quality.

• Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to influence without formal authority.

• Capability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Systems thinking with a focus on scalability.

• Ability to prioritize tasks based on their impact.

• Ownership mentality and accountability for outcomes.
