Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for technical delivery and promote engineering excellence.

• Guide and mentor your team to achieve high standards.

• Engage in hands-on development with NodeJS, Typescript, React, Mongo DB, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with fellow Technical Leads to ensure consistency and share knowledge.

• Provide precise estimates and complete tasks punctually.

• Identify external dependencies for work items during the design phase.

• Review requirements and offer constructive feedback.

• Foster technical innovation.

• Participate in the on-call rota for support during major incidents.

• Manage a team of 4-6 engineers.

• Create, maintain, and assess personal development plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10+ years of relevant experience.

• Strong expertise in NodeJS, Typescript, React, Mongo DB, and Docker.

• Desirable: NestJS, Kubernetes, iOS / Swift experience.

• Proven technical leadership in SaaS and Cloud-based platforms.

• In-depth understanding of OWASP Top 10 security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks.

• Strong grasp of engineering best practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, test automation, observability, performance management, and security.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across various functions.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, ideally in GCP or AWS environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of event-driven design patterns and their application in scaling real-time, data-intensive SaaS platforms.

• Hands-on experience integrating AI development tools into engineering processes with quantifiable outcomes.
