Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features while collaborating closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, uphold, and enhance reliability metrics for crucial features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Manage feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Assist the expanding Android app user base and contribute to new projects.

• Make product decisions and create user experiences that bring joy to users.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A strong desire to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of testing and approaches to writing tests.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• A user-centric approach to problem-solving.

• Aiming to continuously improve through feedback from leadership.

• Bonus: Experience in building, maintaining, or contributing to open-source projects in Android.
