Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality app functionalities.

• Contribute to shaping the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with teams across Product, Design, and Engineering.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Assist in expanding the Android app user base and collaborate on new projects.

• Participate in various technical interviews, aimed to be completed within one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Proven experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and a sense of user empathy.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the significance of testing and approaches for writing tests.

• Initiative to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Problem-solving approach focused on user needs.

• Driven by continuous feedback from leadership.

• Bonus: Experience in building, maintaining, or contributing to open source projects in Android.

• Bonus: Familiarity with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
