Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features while collaborating closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality app functionalities.

• Influence the direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in conversations with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Assume responsibility for feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Assist the expanding user base of the Android app and contribute to new projects.

• Make product decisions and create user experiences that bring joy to users.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• An intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A strong desire to advance the boundaries of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the significance of testing and the methodologies for writing tests.

• A proactive approach to enhancing the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit testing.

• Outstanding communication abilities.

• A user-centered problem-solving mindset.

• Motivation driven by ongoing feedback from leadership.
