Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality functionalities.

• Influence the direction of the Android team.

• Manage, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide assistance to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges effectively.

• Oversee feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

• Support the expanding Android app user base while working on new initiatives.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews, aiming for completion within one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and empathy for users.

• Motivation to advance the boundaries of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of tests and the methodology for writing them.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.
