Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of top-notch app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions among Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to colleagues.

• Address critical issues and tackle unforeseen challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Proven experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding of the significance of testing and strategies for writing tests.

• Initiative to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Robust experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-oriented approach to problem-solving.

• A strong drive to incorporate continuous feedback from leadership.
