Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features, collaborating closely with the design team to ensure the delivery of top-notch functionalities within the app.

• Contribute to shaping the future of the Android team.

• Oversee, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide assistance to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Take charge of feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

• Support the expanding Android user community and engage in new project initiatives.

• Make informed product decisions and create user experiences that resonate with and delight users.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency with Android components.

• Experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and user empathy.

• A passion for pushing the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of testing and how to effectively write tests.

• A self-driven approach to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• A user-centered problem-solving mindset.
