Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of key features and collaborate closely with the design team to deliver top-notch app functionalities.

• Help shape the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Proven experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A desire to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding of software testing and the ability to write tests.

• A self-driven approach to enhance the app and codebase beyond initial specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.
