Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality in-app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, uphold, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to team members.

• Tackle critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews, aimed for completion within one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A drive to innovate within the realm of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of testing and strategies for writing effective tests.

• Self-motivation to enhance the application and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• A user-centered problem-solving mindset.

• Motivated by continuous feedback from leadership.
