Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality in-app functionalities.

• Influence the direction of the Android team.

• Manage, uphold, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with the Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and assist fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Assume responsibility for feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• An intuitive understanding of product design and user empathy.

• A strong desire to advance Android UI/UX boundaries.

• Awareness of the significance of tests and a strategic approach to writing them.

• Initiative to enhance the app and codebase beyond what is specified.

• Solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-oriented approach to problem-solving.
