Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality in-app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and deliver nightly builds for QA purposes.

• Participate in various technical interviews aimed for completion within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• Motivation to advance Android UI/UX boundaries.

• Understanding of software testing principles and test writing.

• Self-motivated to enhance the app and codebase beyond initial specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• User-centered problem-solving mindset.
