Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features while collaborating closely with the design team.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality features within the application.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to team members.

• Address critical issues and tackle unforeseen challenges.

• Manage feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components is essential.

• Proven experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• An intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of tests and techniques for writing them.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-focused problem-solving mindset.

• Driven by continuous feedback from leadership.

• Experience with open-source Android projects is advantageous.

• Familiarity with iOS, Web, or NodeJS is a plus.
