Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features while collaborating closely with the design team.

• Be accountable for delivering top-notch features within the application.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to colleagues.

• Address critical issues and tackle unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and user empathy.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the significance of tests and a methodical approach to writing them.

• Initiative to enhance the app and codebase beyond the given specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• User-centered problem-solving mindset.

• A drive for continuous improvement based on feedback from leadership.
