Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features within the application and collaborate closely with the design team to deliver top-notch functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Own, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Take responsibility for feature releases and offer nightly builds for the QA team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews, aimed to be completed within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and empathy for users.

• A desire to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of testing and approaches for writing tests.

• Self-motivated to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-focused approach to problem solving.

• Motivated by continuous feedback from leadership.
