Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality functionalities.

• Influence the direction of the Android team’s future.

• Own, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and manage unexpected challenges effectively.

• Assume responsibility for feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

• Assist in expanding the Android app user base and contribute to new projects.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews throughout the hiring process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency with Android components.

• Experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and user empathy.

• Passion for pushing the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Knowledge of the significance of tests and strategies for writing them.

• A proactive approach to enhancing the app and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Outstanding communication abilities.

• User-centered problem-solving mindset.

• Motivated by continuous feedback from leadership.

• Experience in building, maintaining, or contributing to open-source projects in Android is a plus.

• Familiarity with iOS, Web, or NodeJS is an advantage.
