Tech Lead – Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features while collaborating closely with the design team.

• Be accountable for delivering high-quality features within the application.

• Help shape the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and offer support to team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and provide nightly builds for quality assurance.

• Make product decisions and create user experiences that truly delight users.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Possess product design intuition and user empathy.

• A strong desire to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of tests and the approach to writing them.

• Self-motivated to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Strong communication skills.

• User-focused problem-solving mindset.

• Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS is an advantage.

• Contributions to open-source Android projects are a plus.
