Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of 6-8 personnel, which may include a mix of Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, and Associate Account Managers.

• Responsibilities will encompass ensuring client satisfaction for the accounts managed by the team, guiding the team to achieve AFS’s performance standards, providing training and constructive feedback to team members, and conducting salary and performance evaluations.

• Serve as an advocate for AFS values and policies.

• Support the training of staff members throughout the year.

• Address at least 50% of service issues escalated by team members.

• Stay informed about current regulations and legislation, as well as proposed changes in the field.

• Contribute to a minimum of three AFS client/broker outreach initiatives annually, which may include live seminars, webinars, or special AFS events.

• Assist team members in conducting annual client reviews.

• Manage a caseload of approximately 50 clients.

• Provide design and consulting services for plans assigned to the team.

• Foster and enhance existing client relationships for plans managed by the team.

• Engage with principals, clients, financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals regarding plans assigned to the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in nondiscrimination testing.

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.

• Credentials from a nationally recognized organization (ASPPA or NIPA).

• Strong understanding of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations.

• Excellent research and analytical capabilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.

• Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities.

• Flexibility, adaptability, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Knowledge of Pension Pro is advantageous.
