Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Water Microbiology team

• Organize and prioritize the processing of samples

• Plan and manage daily operations of the team

• Handle consumables and equipment management

• Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues proactively

• Promote continuous improvement and workplace efficiency utilizing lean principles

• Ensure all team members adhere to specified quality standards while performing duties/tests

• Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding any issues that may affect their samples

• Support the Laboratory Manager in advancing the laboratory through continuous improvement efforts

• Ensure that COSHH and risk assessments are current

• Identify and investigate hazards and incidents to ensure safe working systems

⛳️ Requirements

• GCSEs in Maths, English, Chemistry, or Biology at grade C or above, or equivalent

• Practical understanding of commercial laboratory operations

• Familiarity with ISO 17025 and UKAS accreditation

• Demonstrated experience in the practical application of Microbiology analysis

• Strong laboratory skills and practices

• Effective people management and team leadership abilities

• Enthusiastic, energetic, and driven attitude

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail

• Excellent organizational skills
