
Team Leader, Absence Claims Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a team of Absence Management Case Managers.
• Guide team members by establishing objectives, communicating updates, and ensuring accountability.
• Support staff in their career development and advancement.
• Collaborate with internal business partners such as Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Service, Sales and Account Management, Group Quality Management, and other departments within the organization.
• Review and assess daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding team productivity.
• Mentor, coach, supervise, and cultivate the talent of direct reports.
• Utilize data and analytics to enhance or modify business processes, procedures, and team results.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience in disability; integrated absence management is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in disability claims.
• At least 3 years of proven leadership experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of disability products, business rules, and procedures.
• Knowledge of mandated state and federal regulations.
• Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
