This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Oversee a compact Scrum team consisting of around 4–7 engineers.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise SaaS applications utilizing agentic development methodologies.
• Direct team dynamics, technology, and delivery while being actively involved in software development.
• Conduct individual meetings, offer coaching and feedback, and assist in career progression.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and advocate for effective Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with Product and QA teams to refine tasks, establish acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with delivery priorities.
• Manage team workload, commitments, risks, interdependencies, and release schedules.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, teamwork, and continual improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and spearhead design and architectural choices.
• Engage in design, coding, code reviews, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation.
• Lead modernization initiatives and encourage sound engineering practices.
• Advocate for CI/CD, automated testing, observability, code quality, and reduction of technical debt.
• Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, Systems, and Security teams to develop secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
• Drive the adoption of agentic development methodologies.
• Employ AI coding agents throughout planning, development, testing, debugging, refactoring, code review, and documentation.
• Set standards for reviewing, testing, securing, and validating AI-generated code.
• Identify avenues to enhance engineering productivity and delivery through agentic development.
• Communicate technical decisions, delivery progress, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the wider Engineering practices and standards.
• 8–10 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, mentoring, or team management.
• Robust hands-on background in software development.
• Familiarity with enterprise applications, SaaS, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Strong comprehension of software architecture, APIs, databases, SDLC, CI/CD, testing, and production support.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and conducting Scrum ceremonies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong sense of ownership and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Experience with AI coding agents or other agentic development tools.
• Knowledge of how to responsibly and effectively utilize AI coding agents.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Java/Spring Boot, React/TypeScript, relational databases, REST APIs, event-driven systems, AWS, CI/CD, and automated testing is advantageous.
