Team Lead, Security & Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee security and compliance initiatives

• Sustain Knak’s security control framework and manage ongoing monitoring and remediation efforts

• Foster security awareness and drive behavioral changes

• Provide education to control owners, conduct training sessions, and advocate best practices throughout the organization

• Partner with both internal and external stakeholders

• Collaborate closely with product teams, engineering, leadership, auditors, and vendors to facilitate security workflows

• Keep and enhance security documentation

• Create and manage policies, standards, procedures, and internal manuals

• Assist with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives

• Track metrics, aid in reporting, and ensure visibility into the security and compliance landscape

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in security and compliance, including leadership or team lead roles

• Comprehensive understanding of security frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001

• Technical and business acumen in areas like security training, application security, and compliance programs

• Demonstrated ability to lead change and inspire teams throughout the organization

• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills

• Experience in managing personnel and fostering team development

• Capacity to work collaboratively across functions while balancing security needs with business objectives
