Senior Security Engineer – Corporate Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage the security measures for Atlan’s corporate environment, including the macOS fleet, SaaS applications, corporate identities (Okta/Google Workspace), email, endpoints, and network edge.

• Assess, select, implement, and maintain the corporate security stack, which includes EDR/XDR, MDM, ZTNA, CASB/SSPM, email security, DLP, and browser security. You will be responsible for vendor selection, PoCs, deployment, tuning, and lifecycle management.

• Establish and uphold security baselines, hardening standards, and configuration policies across all corporate platforms.

• Manage vulnerability for corporate assets, including patch orchestration, risk-based prioritization, exception tracking, and SLA enforcement.

• Create security automation and internal tools, utilizing LLMs (Claude, custom agents) to enhance security workflows.

• Oversee security evaluations for new SaaS integrations, alterations in corporate infrastructure, and IT initiatives.

• Define the criteria for safe operation within an environment where AI agents function autonomously across corporate systems.

• Take charge of the Corporate Security roadmap, ensuring alignment with Atlan’s risk register, compliance calendar, and growth trajectory.

• Offer technical direction and security advice to IT Operations regarding endpoint provisioning, network design, SaaS lifecycle management, and access controls.

• Collaborate with Detection & Response teams on telemetry coverage, detection engineering, and incident handling for corporate-sourced events.

• Work in conjunction with Infrastructure Security and AppSec teams to maintain consistent security standards across corporate and production environments.

• Aid compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) by ensuring that corporate security controls meet audit evidence requirements.

• Articulate security posture, risks, and investment needs to Security leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Security Engineering within corporate or enterprise security, covering endpoint, network, SaaS, identity, or a combination thereof.

• Proven experience in building or significantly enhancing a corporate security program: selecting tools, defining architecture, and implementing controls rather than just managing existing setups.

• A strong engineering background, still actively engaged in coding. Capable of prototyping tools, writing detections, building integrations, scripting APIs, or troubleshooting complex configuration issues.

• Extensive experience with macOS fleet security, as this is our primary endpoint platform.

• Practical experience in deploying and managing EDR/XDR, MDM, ZTNA/zero trust, and identity security solutions at scale.

• Familiarity with contemporary SaaS security challenges, including shadow IT, OAuth token sprawl, data exfiltration paths, SaaS-to-SaaS integrations, and CASB/SSPM tools.

• Ability to work autonomously with a high level of independence, manage ambiguity, and make informed risk-based prioritization decisions without awaiting direction.

• Exceptional communication skills, able to convert complex security topics into clear recommendations for engineering teams and business stakeholders alike.

• Experience supporting ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks from the perspective of corporate security controls.
