Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance Web Application Firewall (WAF) protections utilizing Akamai or comparable platforms.

• Safeguard enterprise web applications and APIs from contemporary cyber threats, including the OWASP Top 10, DDoS attacks, bots, and API vulnerabilities.

• Oversee CDN configurations and manage the lifecycle of public TLS certificates.

• Investigate security incidents, refine security policies, and enhance platform performance.

• Promote automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with engineering, cloud, networking, and business teams to provide secure and scalable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with enterprise WAF technologies (Akamai preferred; experience with Cloudflare, Imperva, F5, AWS WAF also acceptable).

• Solid understanding of HTTP/S, TLS/SSL, DNS, TCP/IP, CDN architecture, REST APIs, and web application security principles.

• Experience in managing certificates, troubleshooting production environments, and addressing security incidents.

• Knowledge of scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is advantageous.

• Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, GSEC, or Akamai certifications are considered a plus.
