This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will assume disciplinary leadership of the QA team, which currently consists of 8 members, fostering your team’s growth and establishing a transparent career progression from Junior to Lead.

• You will define and enhance the QA strategy for the entire engineering organization, which includes setting quality gates, Definition-of-Done standards, and quality KPIs.

• You will develop a comprehensive test automation platform that encompasses E2E, API, integration, and UI testing, and manage its integration into our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring clear feedback mechanisms and a shift-left approach.

• You will create a sustainable operating model for the QA function across all product teams, collaborating closely with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and DevOps.

• You will design a QA and test automation roadmap as a key document with quarterly objectives and measurable milestones, aligned with the engineering and product strategy.


⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a lead or senior position with disciplinary or technical leadership responsibilities within the QA field.

• You have extensive hands-on experience in test automation, including frontend tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress, as well as API tools like RestAssured and Karate, and are knowledgeable about CI/CD integrations.

• You are well-versed in modern software architectures, including microservices, event-driven designs, and REST/GraphQL APIs, along with their respective testing strategies.

• You have successfully built and scaled QA teams of 4 or more individuals, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, and career development.

• You think in terms of business impact, clearly articulating quality requirements to engineering leadership and product teams, and possess a genuine builder mindset.
