This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Oversee a team that includes engineers, drafters, designers, and/or technicians.
• Ensure the accurate, timely, and high-quality completion of Electrical Engineering tasks assigned to the team.
• Advocate for, execute, and strengthen internal processes and workflows that enhance quality, consistency, and efficiency throughout the department.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate efforts with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative personnel.
• Review and validate the work of engineers, designers, drafters, and field service staff for overall quality and precision.
• Assist in business development through Seller-Doer initiatives, support marketing efforts, and prepare proposals as required.
• Draft technical documentation for relevant change orders.
• Provide field support, troubleshooting, and generate observation reports.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant Codes and Standards, as well as construction practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, with a preference for electric power options.
• Over 8 years of pertinent engineering or field experience.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is required; Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with voltage distribution exceeding 240kV, switchgear, motor control centers, and industrial instrumentation and controls.
• Ideally, experience with HB Substations specifically for data centers.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• High proficiency in power system software such as DIgSILENT/PowerFactory, EasyPower, ETAP or SKM, CDEGS, and CYMCAP is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and standard computer software.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to develop team members through mentorship and coaching.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
