This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Leading the frontend team: task assignment, performance monitoring, and workload distribution.
• Mentoring and developing developers through regular 1:1 meetings, feedback sessions, and growth plan creation.
• Participating in recruitment: conducting technical interviews and evaluating candidates.
• Fostering a healthy team culture.
• Defining technical strategy, architectural solutions, and frontend development standards.
• Conducting code reviews, developing technical guidelines, and documentation.
• Assessing technical risks, decomposing tasks, and planning sprints.
• Assembling gameplay using Pixi.js (spins, bonus rounds, animations, UI/UX elements).
• Implementing visual effects, transitions, and interactive elements.
• Setting up event systems, states (state machine), and configurations.
• Working with graphics, animations, and sound.
• Optimizing sprites, atlases, and resource loading.
• Profiling, reducing draw calls, and managing memory.
• Creating modular, easily maintainable code.
• Designing scalable solutions for the game engine.
• Integrating APIs (bets, RNG, bonus features, transactions).
• Coordinating with the backend team regarding API contracts and RGS protocols.
• Writing unit/integration tests and promoting a culture of quality code within the team.
• Debugging issues and providing post-release support.
• Collaborating with game designers, technical artists, animators, and mathematicians.
• Over 4 years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Experience managing a development team of 4 or more members.
• Background in iGaming with an understanding of gaming mechanics (RNG, RTP, bonus features).
• In-depth knowledge of PixiJS: working with rendering, sprites, containers, and textures.
• Ability to set tasks, provide constructive feedback, and develop the team.
• Skills in resource planning, estimating timelines, and managing risks.
• Proficiency in optimizing graphics, animations, and asset loading.
• Experience integrating with REST/WebSocket APIs.
• Understanding of game cycle construction principles, event systems, and state management.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git), including branching strategies and code reviews.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD, build tools (Webpack, Vite).
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
