Team Lead FP&A, Controlling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide effective professional and disciplinary leadership and development for the Senior FP&A Manager / Controller.

• Take overall charge of financial planning, management reporting, and BI for all three group entities (Germany, Cyprus, and the US).

• Oversee integrated financial planning (P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet), manage the annual budgeting process, and rolling forecasts.

• Execute budget-versus-actual comparisons and variance analyses at both the entity and group levels.

• Create materials for the Board, investors, and banks, along with business cases for strategic decision-making.

• Serve as a business partner to Marketing, E-Commerce, Retail, and Supply Chain Management.

• Manage budgets and margin levers in collaboration with budget owners.

• Take charge of cash flow planning and working capital management.

• Work alongside the Accounting team on closing data and intercompany matters.

• Further enhance and scale the BI landscape and data models.

• Automate reporting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in FP&A, Controlling, or BI within an e-commerce, D2C, or retail scale-up, including leadership experience.

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Informatics, or a similar qualification.

• Strong practical experience in integrated financial planning, group reporting, and consolidation across multiple entities (HGB, with knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP).

• In-depth understanding of e-commerce and retail KPIs (CAC, ROAS, margin, and working capital).

• Expert-level proficiency in Google Sheets and SQL/databases.

• Extensive experience with BI tools and ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite.

• Familiarity with AI automation and agentic workflows in Finance is an advantage.

• Empathetic and structured leadership style, a strong hands-on mentality, and the capability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for C-level stakeholders.

• Business-fluent in German and English.
