This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver actionable insights that guide business decisions through financial analytics and data.
• Lead the strategy, governance, and implementation of the data warehouse for the general ledger.
• Establish and oversee a center of excellence for cloud and performance reporting, which includes infrastructure management and KPIs for the finance team and business units.
• Define, execute, and evaluate the success of the financial AI automation roadmap in collaboration with FP&A, accounting, and data teams.
• Create data pipelines and foundational elements for AI models.
• Analyze and optimize our GCP infrastructure costs in partnership with engineering and FinOps.
• Position the finance organization as the definitive source for financial and commercial performance, and develop self-service analytics tools for key stakeholders.
• Supervise a team comprising 4 engineers and 1 Finance & Strategy Manager.
• Enforce internal controls and assist with external audits concerning data governance.
• Over 15 years of professional experience in the travel industry and/or SaaS.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
• An engineering background is preferred.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, GCP, and data science, with demonstrated experience in hands-on coding.
• Familiarity with systems utilizing large language models (LLMs), prompt design, and AI model evaluation frameworks.
• Knowledge of automation environments and observability tools (such as Amplitude, Datadog, Looker) to evaluate reliability and performance.
• Strong competency in reconciling data from extensive, multi-source datasets.
• A natural inclination towards first-principles thinking — questioning assumptions, testing process resilience, and always striving to understand the “why.”
• Excellent communication abilities with senior leadership and external partners.
