Team Lead, BI

Posted Jun 25

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Russia.

📋 Description

• Lead the BI analysts team by assigning tasks, tracking deadlines, and supporting career and professional growth.

• Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders (business units, product, finance, operations), identifying their requirements and formalizing needs for reporting and analytics.

• Oversee and enhance the user layer of the data warehouse, including marts and the business layer, ensuring a consistent "single source of truth" for business users.

• Reduce the redundancy of reports and metrics by implementing and enforcing naming conventions, maintaining a KPI backlog, and creating a report and metadata catalog while monitoring their relevance.

• Organize and manage the process for accepting requests related to reports and analytics, as well as prioritizing these within the business plan.

• Ensure the quality and reliability of reporting by sending alerts, investigating incidents, and participating in discussions regarding SLA and BI report metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in BI, analytics, or data warehousing, with at least 1 year in a Team Lead role.

• Solid understanding of data warehouse and marts architecture, with experience in cloud or enterprise data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).

• Proficient in SQL, with experience in marts modeling, semantic models (such as dbt or similar), and data preparation for BI tools.

• Ability to structure communications with business stakeholders: setting objectives, discussing hypotheses, identifying root-cause metrics, and explaining data limitations.

• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or Qlik, with a preference for Power BI.

• Experience in managing metric and report catalogs, requirement management tools, and backlog processes.

• Proficient in English (Intermediate level or higher) for effective interaction with international teams.

🏝️ Benefits

• Opportunity to work remotely from any location worldwide.

• Performance bonuses, 25+ days of paid vacation and time off, along with a personal development plan.

• Opportunity to influence the future of fintech in Nigeria with products reaching millions, supported by a competitive salary.

• Grow in a dynamic work environment that promotes flexibility, collaboration, and access to state-of-the-art tools.

• Be part of a diverse and inclusive team where every voice is valued, and professional development is prioritized.
