Team Lead, Accounts & Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.

• Review and maintain accounting records to ensure their accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.

• Oversee marketplace payout and settlement reconciliations across multiple e-commerce platforms.

• Verify payments, deductions, fees, refunds, chargebacks, and other marketplace transactions.

• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and business expenses.

• Review and ensure the accuracy of accounting data within the company’s ERP/accounting systems.

• Prepare and evaluate monthly and quarterly financial reports.

• Prepare, analyze, and assess Profit & Loss statements and other management reports.

• Identify financial discrepancies, investigate variances, and guarantee timely resolutions.

• Establish and uphold effective financial controls, reconciliation procedures, and accounting processes.

• Collaborate directly with the company’s US-based CPA on accounting, reporting, taxation, and compliance matters.

• Assist in preparing and organizing financial information required for US tax filings and regulatory compliance.

• Provide management with accurate and timely financial insights to aid in business decisions.

• Lead, supervise, and review the performance of the accounting/finance team.

• Allocate responsibilities, monitor team performance, and ensure that accounting tasks and reporting deadlines are met.

• Continuously enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting systems as the business evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Team Lead, Accounting Supervisor, Senior Accountant, or similar leadership position.

• Strong hands-on experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting controls.

• Experience in preparing and reviewing P&L statements, cash-flow reports, and management reports.

• Solid understanding of marketplace payout and transaction reconciliation; e-commerce accounting experience is highly preferred.

• Working knowledge of US accounting and taxation regulations.

• Experience collaborating with a US-based CPA, accountant, tax advisor, or external finance professional.

• Proficient in ERP/accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero, or comparable platforms.

• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets with strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and the capability to identify financial discrepancies and control gaps.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to independently manage accounting operations while effectively leading a team.

• Experience working with a US-based company.

• Background in e-commerce, marketplace, retail, or private-label businesses.

• Experience handling settlements and financial data from platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, or similar marketplaces.

• Familiarity with working alongside US CPA firms and supporting US tax and regulatory obligations.
