This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collaborates with administrators and instructional teams to design and execute engaging hands-on lesson plans for students.

• Diagnoses and analyzes student needs to deliver suitable instruction.

• Employs a diverse range of instructional strategies to cater to the unique requirements of each student.

• Evaluates student progress in line with the established procedures of the Diocese of Orlando.

• Applies effective classroom management techniques to foster a conducive learning environment.

• Engages in the Diocese of Orlando Diocesan Catechist Certification Program and participates in school-sponsored professional development initiatives.

• Collaborates with the principal and faculty during school-related meetings, events, and projects.

• Keeps accurate academic and attendance records for students.

• Ensures a safe, orderly, and secure learning and working environment.

• Takes part in performance evaluations based on the execution of the general duties expected of a professional educator.

• Upholds confidentiality and discretion regarding school personnel, students, and overall school affairs.

• Communicates with parents through conferences, phone calls, or written correspondence.

• Promotes parental involvement through school activities, bridging the gap between home and school.

• Maintains all required records, including but not limited to grade books, attendance logs, and student progress reports.

• Aids in the safeguarding of student and school property.

• Stays updated on relevant technology utilized by Diocese Catholic Schools as appropriate for the job.

• Supervises students in testing environments.

• Keeps timely and precise information pertinent to job responsibilities.

• Conducts all activities in compliance with Diocesan Catholic Schools policies.

• Carries out additional duties as assigned by the principal.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college recognized as acceptable for Florida certification.

• Must have or secure a Professional Certificate in the subject area taught within three years of hire.

• Documented progress towards certification is required within the first year of hire and must be filed in the school personnel file; otherwise, the teaching contract cannot be renewed.

• Must achieve Faith Fit Enrichment Certification in Levels 1, 2, and 3 within three years of hire.
