This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plan, budget, and implement tax engagements under general supervision.
• Assign tasks to junior staff and oversee their progress and deadlines.
• Prepare engagement workpapers and tax returns for clients in various sectors.
• Investigate tax issues and identify as well as communicate potential risks related to engagements.
• Create tax projections and handle tax planning assignments.
• Undertake additional tax consulting projects as required.
• Recognize key client challenges and propose solutions to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Stay updated on GAAP, GAAS, and prevalent audit/tax methodologies.
• Engage in communication with associates, managers/partners, and clients.
• Offer performance and behavioral feedback to junior associates.
• Keep the manager informed about workload and project status.
• Support financial statement compilations, reviews, and audits during the off-peak season.
• 3–4 years of tax experience in public accounting is required.
• Strong preference for experience in preparing engagement workpapers and tax returns for individual, S-Corporation, and partnership clients.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting is necessary.
• A Master's degree in Tax is preferred.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CCH Axcess or ProSystems is beneficial.
• Understanding of intermediate accounting and/or tax principles.
• Capability to assign tasks, manage progress, and adhere to deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
