Tax Services Manager – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct a remote team of Tax Experts providing top-notch tax preparation and video consultations for clients of april's partners, which include high-net-worth individuals and small businesses.

• Manage daily operations of the tax practice, encompassing capacity management, productivity, funnel performance, customer escalations, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

• Propel team performance to consistently meet or surpass key performance indicator (KPI) targets related to customer satisfaction, service quality, and productivity.

• Foster a dynamic, high-energy, and supportive team culture that reflects april’s core values.

• Create systems and workflows aimed at enhancing consistency, compliance, and efficiency.

• Represent the voice of the customer by highlighting pain points, team insights, and areas for improvement to the product, engineering, and operations teams.

• Work collaboratively across departments to test, launch, and enhance products, services, and expert tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience managing customer-facing or operations teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ideally in a remote context.

• Possession of an active EA or CPA credential and tax preparation experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Demonstrated capability to lead high-performing teams while nurturing a supportive culture and achieving KPI targets for productivity, efficiency, throughput, and customer satisfaction.

• Strong technical skills; adept at identifying, assessing, and articulating product issues clearly to the engineering team for resolution.

• Availability to work beyond standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as required during our peak season from January through April.
