This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Creating high-quality and precise tax content and seamlessly integrating it into the TaxAct software.
• Investigating and applying moderately complex Federal and State tax regulations into the tax software.
• Crafting or designing straightforward interview questions to assist users in confidently completing their tax returns.
• Composing and assessing test case scenarios to verify the accuracy of the implemented tax calculations.
• Providing influence and effective communication both within the team and across various cross-functional teams, functions, and business units.
• Collaborating closely with forms developers and IRS/State agencies to ensure timely certifications for forms and e-filing.
• Assisting in verifying the accuracy of work produced by other team members.
• Serving as a mentor for new tax analysts who join the team.
• Demonstrating a strong focus on customer needs, delivering enhancements that improve the customer experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• Over 2 years of experience in federal and state taxation, ideally across various tax categories: Individual, business, non-profit, estates, and trusts, among others.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration for commitment and action, communication, and active listening.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Keen attention to detail and precision.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• CPA or EA certification is a plus.
• Familiarity or experience working within an Agile/Scrum team environment is advantageous.
