This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
β’ Assist customers in completing their taxes using a tax preparation platform, offering tax guidance, comprehensive return preparation, and tax calculations.
β’ Leverage government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and present the correct information to customers in clear, everyday language.
β’ Operate in a virtual, customer-facing role utilizing advanced video communication software to engage with customers and document interactions for accurate record-keeping.
β’ Address product and software inquiries from customers, applying your tax knowledge to provide precise and confident answers.
β’ Prepare and review federal and state individual 1040 tax returns with exceptional accuracy, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and IRS Circular 230 standards.
β’ Assist customers in understanding deductions, credits, and filing requirements with patience, professionalism, and clarity.
β’ Identify and address tax-related questions and discrepancies; escalate complex matters to senior specialists or supervisors as necessary.
β’ Achieve productivity, quality, and handle-time goals in accordance with seasonal service level agreements (SLAs).
β’ Stay actively engaged on phones and/or video tools throughout the entirety of each scheduled shift.
β’ Quickly adapt to client-specific tax software, workflows, and scripts during onboarding and throughout the tax season.
β’ Minimum of 2 years of paid experience in filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software.
β’ Active, unrestricted credential necessary: Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Practicing Attorney with significant tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.

β’ Outstanding customer service abilities with a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with customers via video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
β’ Proficient in commercial tax preparation software.
β’ Strong verbal communication skills β capable of simplifying complex tax concepts into straightforward, everyday language.
β’ High attention to detail and a consistent commitment to data accuracy.
β’ Must be authorized to work in the United States.
β’ Equipment: Company-provided; specific hardware confirmed at time of offer.
β’ Internet: Minimum 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload; wired Ethernet connection strongly preferred.
β’ A quiet, dedicated, distraction-free workspace is required during all working hours.
β’ Public or shared Wi-Fi networks are not permitted during active shifts.
