Tax Manager, CPA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns.

• Engage in tax planning and projections.

• Conduct tax research, resolution, and correspondence.

• Manage requests for client information and deliverables.

• Provide assistance to staff with technical inquiries and professional development.

• Ensure the accurate and timely submission of federal, state, and local tax returns.

• Maintain quality standards throughout the process.

• Support complex client tax planning and modeling efforts.

• Oversee client deliverables and timelines.

• Mentor and guide members of the tax team to enhance effectiveness and engagement.

• Assist with the onboarding process for new clients.

• Identify and implement opportunities for improving tax procedures.

• Offer support for special tax projects and initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with management.

• Contribute to firm initiatives as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience in public accounting.

• Prior supervisory experience with a proven leadership record.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

• Experience in supporting a large and active client base in the real estate sector.

• Solid understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Familiarity with federal and state tax regulations.

• Strong computer proficiency, with knowledge of various applications; experience with Thomson Reuters software is a plus.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Research-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.

• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.

• Adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
