This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Evaluate tax calculations for Federal, State, and Municipal taxes (IRRF, ISS, IPI, ICMS, ICMS-ST, INSS, CSRF, PIS, and COFINS)
• Reconcile accounting ledgers/accounts related to Federal, State, and Municipal taxes to ensure the accuracy of balances in both tax and accounting records
• Ensure the accurate preparation and submission of federal, state, and municipal ancillary tax obligations (EFD ICMS, PIS and COFINS, NFTS, PER/DCOMP, REINF, among others)
• Monitor and accurately interpret tax legislation (laws, protocols, agreements) that applies across Brazilian states in the pharmaceutical sector
• Analyze special regimes, settlement terms, and other state-specific tax incentives, collaborating with fellow tax analysts for classification and comprehension to ensure tax compliance in commercial transactions (sales/invoicing and purchases)
• Offer tax support and guidance to various business areas
• Address tax inspections and internal/external audits
• Prepare and maintain departmental KPIs
• Participate in the review of tax documents to confirm accuracy and consistency
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of tax processes by suggesting and implementing effective solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
• Experience with reconciliations, tax credits, PER/DCOMP filings, tax inspections, and audits
• Advanced understanding of indirect taxes, tax legislation, and ancillary reporting requirements
• Proficient in SAP and OneSource Tax One
• Experience in creating dashboards in Power BI and advanced Excel capabilities
• MBA or postgraduate degree in Business Management, Tax Accounting, Tax Planning, Tax Law, Tax Compliance, or related areas (preferred)
• Experience in the industrial sector, preferably in pharmaceuticals (preferred)
