πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Develop and refine cross-border holding, operating, and financing frameworks.

β€’ Enhance WHT, VAT, and CT exposures, as well as treaty positioning and financing flows involving interest, fees, royalties, and service charges.

β€’ Provide guidance on substance, beneficial ownership, and anti-avoidance risk management, including GAAR/SAAR, ATAD themes, and principal purpose evaluations.

β€’ Counsel UBOs on residency planning, cross-border personal taxation, and wealth-structuring interactions with corporate flows.

β€’ Assess and optimize UBO loan structures, focusing on taxability, documentation, arm's-length compliance, disclosure risks, and exit/repayment strategies.

β€’ Prepare the group for inquiries from authorities and regulators, including disclosure, response strategies, and ensuring consistency across filings and financial statements.

β€’ Collaborate with external tax advisors across various jurisdictions to ensure consistent and actionable outputs.

β€’ Maintain an up-to-date tax risk register and roadmap with quarterly updates.

β€’ Provide brief weekly asynchronous updates and participate in key calls.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 10 years of experience in international tax or private wealth tax (Big4 Partner / Big Law / top-tier boutique/family office equivalent).

β€’ Proven expertise with the UK and Spain tax systems (both corporate and personal) and their practical interactions.

β€’ Strong history of managing group financing, cross-border structuring, and addressing tax controversies and inquiries.

β€’ Experience providing advice to UHNW individuals and family offices (not limited to corporates).

β€’ Ability to navigate ambiguity, maintain high confidentiality, and execute pragmatically.

β€’ Dual-qualified (law and tax), with a CTA/ACA/solicitor background, or equivalent (preferred).

β€’ Previous experience in regulated environments with regular third-party inquiries (banks, auditors, authorities) (preferred).

β€’ Capability to simplify complex structures without compromising business realities (preferred).
