This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Prepare and assess income tax returns for corporations, individuals, trusts, and partnerships.

• Provide guidance to clients regarding taxation matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, payroll tax, and GST.

• Recognize tax planning opportunities and ensure adherence to ATO regulations.

• Compile and evaluate financial statements, management accounts, and statutory accounts in line with Australian Accounting Standards.

• Assist with year-end adjustments, reconciliations, and create working papers to substantiate findings.

• Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and aid in payroll tax and superannuation reporting.

• Establish and nurture strong client relationships through effective communication, timely deliverables, and proactive service.

• Oversee and mentor junior staff, review their outputs, and offer constructive feedback.

• Facilitate external audits and regulatory compliance processes by preparing schedules and addressing audit inquiries.


⛳️ Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

• CA/CPA candidacy or full membership is highly preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of public practice experience in Australia or a similar setting, with proven expertise in tax compliance, BAS preparation, and financial statement preparation.

• Proficiency in cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws, GST, BAS, payroll tax, superannuation obligations, and reporting deadlines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients and colleagues.

• Right to work in Australia is mandatory.
