This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conducting functional analysis of business systems.
• Advising on user interface design and system capabilities.
• Responding to customer inquiries regarding systems/applications, investigating outstanding requests, and liaising with external contacts for solutions.
• Collaborating with external system Points of Contact (POCs) to establish interfaces and troubleshoot issues.
• Assisting in the management of the product backlog and development tasks, translating customer needs into actionable items for the development team.
• Organizing, documenting, and participating in user events, including training sessions, testing and evaluation meetings, user acceptance testing, and product review gatherings.
• Acquiring knowledge of new applications and associated business processes to document and communicate any system gaps concerning customer requirements.
• Facilitating discussions with diverse personnel to document requirements and specifications, including desired outcomes, features, and functionalities.
• Creating and documenting functional specifications linked to system enhancements.
• Ensuring that documented requirements are clear to avoid scope creep, gold plating, or non-value-added activities.
• Recording business requirements following industry best practices and PMO methodologies.
• Crafting functional workflow diagrams to capture business objectives and high-level scope.
• Coordinating project deliverables with the Project Manager, including scheduling project meetings, tracking activities, and generating status reports.
• Demonstrating exceptional customer service, integrity, and a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and responsible fiscal practices.
• US Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain a US Government Clearance.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in functional analysis of enterprise software.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in collaborating with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft product suite, including MS Project and MS Office (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to identify and solve problems, recognize risks, and effectively communicate results and recommendations to leadership and customers.
• Proven experience in effectively communicating with technical, operational, and management audiences from diverse backgrounds.
• Technically adept at utilizing new tools and technologies that support the project, especially those for collaboration and agile scrum artifacts.
• Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD) Procure-to-Pay processes and the Department of the Navy (DON) Electronic Procurement System (ePS).
• Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Management Approval System (MASS) workflows.
