This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Facilitate customer presentations
• Manage system staging
• Complete system documentation
• Execute live system upgrades
• Maintain the integrity of the architecture/design
• Perform field engineering responsibilities during a radio system upgrade cycle
• Upgrade/deploy a variety of devices, including network equipment, Windows-based devices, virtual machines, and Motorola proprietary devices
• Act as a customer-facing technical resource throughout the upgrade process
• Travel to customer locations across the Province of Quebec, Canada to fulfill responsibilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or Networking OR 3–5 years of engineering or wireless communications experience
• Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with the capability to obtain RCMP security clearance as mandated by government clients
• Must be proficient in both English and French
• Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE is highly preferred
• Experience and practical understanding of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) is highly preferred
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA, or similar are highly preferred
• Prior experience with one or more of Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, Ceragon is highly preferred
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics to non-technical audiences are essential
• 50–60% travel is necessary for upgrade projects
